Halloween 2012
Daniel wanted to be a fireman for Halloween this year. He announced this decision in August, but I failed to get a costume put together until the day we went trick-or-treating. However, there are some great ideas on the internet and I headed to the store to pick up some supplies. After about two hours of work I was able to give him a pretty cool fireman coat. I paired it with a helmet, rain boots, and black sweatpants to finish it off. He loved it.
Ellen had several costume choices but kept selecting Cinderella. So, smiling all the way, Ellen dressed up as Cinderella.
We went trick-or-treating in a new home development about 1.5 miles from our home. Our friends the Vizzos invited us to come to their neighborhood. Their daughter Addison and her neighbor Brandon are the same age as Daniel. Everyone had a great time. Ellen really figured out what to do after the first home and wanted to go up to each home and get her candy too. We all had a great time with the kids.

Kermit the Hermit Crab
This little guy was a present for Daniel from Grammie and Grampie's trip to the beach. He's actually quite entertaining! Daniel calls him a kermit crab. So cute!

Wall-E
I found this shirt for Daniel at a recent children's resale event. Too bad we didn't have it for his party!

Little Lady
We purchased new Adirondack chairs for the family to use in the backyard. There are two small ones for the kids and two large ones for Mom and Dad. Both Daniel and Ellen love to have their own chairs just their size. Here is Ellen enjoying her chair like a little lady.

Marblehead
We headed north for a wedding in the evening and left early so we could visit Marblehead for a few hours. It was the first trip there for the kids. They both really enjoyed seeing the large waves, freighters, and lighthouse.
We met my parents there (aka Poppy and Nana).
Aaron's cousin Chris got married, which coincidentally is our anniversary too, in Fremont.
Hannah is an avid horse person and there was a horse-drawn carriage for the newlyweds.
We had a fun day all together and will have to make another trip to the Lake soon.

Happy Birthday #4 for Daniel
We had robot themed parties for Daniel this year. I found this cake at Betty Crocker's website and decided it would be perfect. Everyone really liked it, especially the birthday boy.

Sticky Goo
A surprise birthday package in the mail from our friends Miss Jen and Clark. He was so excited he ran into Ellen's room after her nap and sang, " I have a package...I have a package!"
A recipe and ingredients for homemade sticky goo. A perfect gift for Daniel.
He really likes it!

Standing Up In Her Crib
After months of army-crawling, Ellen has finally figured out how to pull up on furniture and has started cruising. I found in her crib like this today. So proud of herself!
